Highlights
Source of the Nile
Uganda is home to the "source of the Nile," where the world's longest river begins its journey northward. However, one of the most intriguing and unique features lies beneath its surface: Lake Bunyonyi, translated as "Place of Many Little Birds." Unlike most lakes, Lake Bunyonyi has no known species of dangerous animals such as hippos or crocodiles, making it one of the safest lakes for swimming in Africa.
Primates
Uganda boasts the highest concentration of primates in the world, including more than half of the remaining mountain gorilla population. Beyond gorilla trekking, the country offers a remarkable diversity of primate species, such as chimpanzees, golden monkeys, and the rare L'Hoest's monkey. This wealth of primate encounters makes Uganda a premier destination for primate enthusiasts and wildlife lovers alike.
- Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to encounter endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
- Embark on a safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park to witness diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, and an array of bird species, against the backdrop of stunning landscapes.

- Immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of Kibale Forest National Park by trekking to see chimpanzees, as well as other primates like red colobus monkeys and L'Hoest's monkeys.
- Experience the thrill of encountering tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, a southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, as they lounge in the branches of fig trees.
